I: Before Commissioning
1. Clients must notify the artist of all necessary information. This includes: email address or other contact information, time frame for commission, the full details of the requested commissions, and any requested references.
2. Clients are to be aware that all transactions and communication regarding commissions will be documented for security purposes.
3. Clients are to be aware that the artist reserves the right to decline commissions for any reason, and the reason does not have to be stated.
4. Payments are to be made in USD only. Payments will be made through PayPal invoice.
5. Payments are to be made 100% upfront. Failure to pay the invoice within 48 hours will result in the commission being canceled.
6. If the clients wishes to cancel a commission BEFORE the halfway point, or if there are no updates after 2 months, a full refund will be made.
7. If any money is sent to the artist without an invoice, it will be considered tip.
8. If the client does not want the final product to be posted on social media and portfolios, a 25% privacy fee will be added.
(ex: a comm is $100, so the privacy fee is $25, and the total price is 125.)
9. Turnover rates will vary depending on personal circumstances and complexity, but will typically take a week to 2 months.
10. All communication between the client and the artist will be made by email or texts.
11. If a commission is made for commercial use, a 200% fee will be added.
(ex: a comm costs $100, the fee is $200, the total price is $300.)
12. Commissions have complexity rates, with set increments. This is added onto the payment as a fee, and will be discussed with the client.
13. All extra fees and deadlines are to be finalized before the commission is started. They cannot be removed after the commission has been started. If the client insists on an earlier deadline or removal of fees, the commission will be canceled, and a 50% refund made.
II: After Payment & Commission Process
1. Clients will be notified once their commission has passed the halfway point. Clients will NOT be able to receive a refund at this stage of the commission.
2. Clients can request updates on commissions. However, clients should refrain from abusing this, and any excess spamming will result in consequences.
3. Unlimited revisions can be made during the sketch phase, three revisions are allowed on the line art phase, and one revision can be made during the flat color phase, unless the revisions are minor.
4. Once payments are made, a client CANNOT force a chargeback. Doing so will result in the commission being canceled with no refund given, and appropriate legal action will be taken.
5. The client cannot change the subject of the commission once it had been agreed upon.
6. If the client is acting in an inappropriate or belligerent manner, the artist reserves the right to cancel the commission, with no refund available.
7. If the client does not respond to any attempts at communication for more than 2 weeks without prior notification, the commission will be canceled, and no refund made.
8. Upgrades and downgrades must be made BEFORE the half way point.
9. The client can request that the commission be upgraded or downgraded ONCE (eg: flat colour to rendered and vice versa, bust to halfbody and vice versa)The client will pay for the upgrade or receive an appropriate refund for the downgrade.
10. Clients will be informed of any delays in commission.
11. The artist reserves the right to cancel commissions due to severe personal circumstances. Full refunds will be made in this circumstance.
III: Commission Delivery
1. Commissions will be delivered to the client by email. The client will need to confirm that the commission follows the requested details, and that the commission has been properly received. This will be documented for security purposes.
2. The artist's copy will be a lower resolution image with a watermark across the image, for posting purposes (unless a privacy fee has been paid). A higher quality image will be provided to the client, with a watermark on one small area of the work.
3. The artist reserves all rights to the work and its distribution and use unless stated otherwise.
4. The artist reserves the right to post the work to social media and portfolios, unless a privacy fee has been paid.
5. The client should not approach other artists to edit the work or attempt to edit the work themselves.
6. Commissioners can request a consultation to edit finished works, which can be made depending on complexity. Payment will be decided through a mutual agreement. If an agreement can not be reached, the artist reserves the right to decline the changes.
7. The client cannot resell or repurpose the work for commercial reasons, unless the artist has written an explicit agreement to it. This includes any art in which the subject was designed by the artist, as well as the design itself.
8. The finished commission can be reposted by the client, if the artist's name and social media/ other contact information is included in the post.
